Showcasing Ferrous With Aesthetic Finesse
The brief was to design the packaging for an elegant Japanese Cast Iron Teapot. The requirement was a rich but mellow packaging design to offset the starkness and rigidity of the product within. The goal – to create an elegant but relevant design without taking away from the durability of the iron teapot.
Our focus was to enforce the brand’s identity, while creating a feeling of exclusivity. And we gave a lot of thought to the colors and the design. We finally decided on the golden yellow color to represent the rugged and strong nature of the cast iron teapot. The leaves represent the delicate detailing on the metal.
